It’s All Right Now–In Fact It’s a Gas.

I just got back from an impromptu little outing with my hubby. We were invited to a performance by a friend of ours that is attending ‘Rock Camp for Dads’. I love that he invited us…I think the fact that I used to be in a band makes him feel like we are kindred spirits of some kind. It’s true, more than likely. It is a certain breed that will get up there on a stage and just let it all hang out, t’hell with what the world thinks about it. That’s rock and roll, baby. Were they the best band I’ve ever heard? No. Did they blow my mind with original songs? No, they covered The Stones. Were they amazing? Well, yes they were. Because they were up there having the time of their lives. They were playing, my friends, in every sense of the word. It wasn’t all dads. It was moms, too. And kids. Kids and other adults in the audience jumped up and grabbed a tambourine or a cowbell and took their turn on the stage. The last song they were inviting anyone who wanted to get up there to join them. They were chanting my name–to be honest, I didn’t want to go up...
